This tablet delivers 200mg magnesium from an immediate-release phase and 300mg from a depot phase, totaling 500mg, alongside a high dose of vitamin B12 which also contributes to normal energy metabolism.
About the 2-phase system: a specially developed manufacturing process creates two distinct tablet layers. The depot phase releases magnesium gradually over many hours in smaller portions throughout the day, while the immediate phase releases magnesium quickly for faster availability.
Who needs more magnesium: physically demanding work or sport, higher age, stress, and reduced absorption efficiency can all increase magnesium needs. Athletes need it doubly u2014 both because they sweat out magnesium and because they need it for normal muscle function during exertion. Certain medications, like diuretics, can also increase magnesium loss.
Directions: Take u00bd u2013 1 tablet daily with a meal and sufficient liquid, without chewing. For higher magnesium needs (e.g. heavy physical exertion combined with a magnesium-poor diet), take 1 tablet daily; for a generally unbalanced diet, u00bd tablet may be sufficient.
