Selenium 150 u2013 2-Phase Depot for Immune & Thyroid Support
A well-rounded supply of vitamins and trace elements supports overall wellbeing and the body’s performance u2014 including an adequate intake of selenium. The body can’t produce selenium on its own, so it needs to come regularly from the diet, though an unbalanced diet often falls short here.
- Selenium helps protect cells from oxidative stress and contributes to normal immune system and thyroid function.
In food, selenium is bound to protein, so protein-rich foods like meat, fish and eggs are strong sources, alongside lentils, asparagus and nuts. European soils tend to be selenium-poor, meaning plant-based foods generally contribute only a modest share of dietary selenium intake.
About the 2-phase DEPOT system: a specialized manufacturing process creates two distinct tablet layers u2014 the first phase releases 54mcg selenium quickly for fast availability, while the second phase releases the remaining 96mcg gradually over many hours as a sustained-release depot.
